Industrial Real Estate Brokers in Salt Lake City & Utah
Legend Commercial's industrial division, the Peterson Industrial Team, represents tenants, landlords, buyers and sellers of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, flex and industrial outdoor storage property across Salt Lake, Davis, Weber and Utah Counties. The eight-person team is led by Skyler Peterson, SIOR, who has nearly 20 years of experience and more than 1,000 industrial and land transactions, with Tre Bourdeaux, SIOR, and handles buildings from about 5,000 to 500,000 square feet, including build-to-suit projects.

Who we work with
Manufacturers, distributors, logistics operators, contractors and growing businesses that need industrial space, plus the owners, developers and investors who build, lease and sell it.
Tenant representation
We find and negotiate warehouse, manufacturing and flex space for occupiers, including requirements that are hard to fill in Utah's tight industrial market, such as heavy power, yard space or high clear heights.
Landlord representation and leasing
We lease multi-tenant and single-tenant industrial buildings and new developments for owners including national industrial developers and institutional investors, with marketing built to reach active tenant requirements across the Wasatch Front.
Sales, investment and build-to-suit
We sell industrial buildings and industrial condos to owner-users and investors, and advise on build-to-suit, development and sale-leaseback transactions for manufacturing plants, distribution warehouses and R&D facilities.
Why Legend for industrial
Skyler Peterson's team handles roughly 200 assignments a year along the Wasatch Front, and Skyler has completed more than 1,000 industrial and land transactions. Two team members hold the SIOR designation, and Tre Bourdeaux has closed more than $250 million in transactions. The team joined Legend in 2024 as the firm's first dedicated industrial group and has deep relationships with startups and small businesses along the Silicon Slopes.

Frequently asked questions
What does SIOR mean?
SIOR stands for the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. The SIOR designation is awarded to experienced industrial and office brokers who meet the society's transaction, experience and ethics standards. Legend's industrial division is led by two SIOR designees, Skyler Peterson and Tre Bourdeaux.
What size industrial spaces does Legend handle?
Legend's industrial team typically works on buildings from about 5,000 to 500,000 square feet, from small-bay flex units to large distribution warehouses and build-to-suit manufacturing plants.
What is industrial outdoor storage (IOS)?
Industrial outdoor storage is land used mainly for outdoor yard space, with little or no building, for uses like truck and trailer parking, equipment and materials storage, and contractor yards. Demand has grown quickly as e-commerce and supply-chain shifts increase the need for secure, functional yards near population centers.
Why are industrial condos so popular in Utah right now?
Rising construction costs, higher interest rates and gaps between buyer and seller land expectations have made traditional large industrial development harder to pencil. Smaller owner-user industrial and flex condos have filled the gap, and in early 2026 Legend's team saw some trade above $300 per square foot.
Should my business lease or buy an industrial building?
It depends on your growth plans, capital and how specialized your space needs are. Buying can build equity and lock in occupancy costs for stable businesses; leasing preserves cash and flexibility for companies still growing. A broker can run a lease-versus-buy comparison using current Utah pricing.
